Corrochio’s
I went out with two of my best friends and, naturally, we ended up doing what we do best. Tacos & margaritas.
This past weekend we were celebrating, and my friends took me to @Corrochios in Dalston. I’d read about it before, seen it on Instagram, and knew people loved it.
And yes, the tacos and margaritas were great. But what really stood out to me was Jorge.
Not just because he was there when we needed him, although he was and not just because my margaritas kept arriving to me correctly (no salt on the rim).
It was an even smaller moment that made my head turn.
I saw one of his colleagues drop some cutlery. A lot of people would have walked past it or turned it into a big dramatic performance. Jorge didn’t. He dashed over, like Speedy Gonzales, to help out straight away.
That, to me, said a lot. It showed teamwork. It showed compañerismo. It showed a culture where people look out for each other.
And on a busy Saturday night, that stuff matters just as much as what is on the plate or in the glass.
So as much as the tacos and margaritas were spot on, what I really noticed was the culture that seems to have been built there, and Jorge felt like a clear part of that.
Hats off to Corrochio's.
Muchas gracias.
